The Santa Clotilde Garden date back from 1919, and is set on top of a cliff with breathtaking views of the Mediterranean. Santa Clothilde gardens make amazing use of the natural green of the Costa Brava and were designed in Italian Renaissance style by Nicolau Rubió i Tuduri.
It is a perfect example of the Noucentista movement in Catalona in the early twentieth century, a movement for intellectual and aesthetic renewal. It consists of many fountains, overlapping terraces and beautiful still water ponds. Combined with an incredible view of the rocky coast of the the Costa Brava, it is a must visit tourist attraction when on vacation in LLoret. |
